Where is Belize?
Where is Belize located? It is a small country in Central America located to the South of Mexico. This is where the cities of Chetumal, Mexico and the District of Corozal meet. The country is situated East of Guatemala where the towns of Melchur, Guatemala and the Cayo District share the Eastern border of Guatemala.
In fact, reaching the country by airline is easy. Traveling from Miami Florida, Dallas Texas, Houston Texas and Louisiana are all approximately two hour direct flights.
And for those not wanting to travel through the United States, you can pick up Tropic Airlines. Tropic Airlines travels from Cancun, Mexico directly to the International Airport.
Size of Belize
Belize is Approximately 67 miles wide and 186 mile long
The entire country is approximately the size of Rhode Island in the United States. It is a small country with lots of eco activities such as diving the blue whole, diving the Barrier Reef, exploring the ruins and all the activities on the various rivers in Belize.
One of the special parts of the country is the Belize Barrier Reef stretching the coastline on the Caribbean Sea. This is the largest living barrier reef in the world.
All things considered, people come from all over the world to experience the reef as the reef offers some of the best diving and snorkeling the world has to offer.
In addition, the lagoons located throughout the country boast manatees and other protected wildlife that Jacques Cousteau himself studied and fought to protect.
